Overview

If you drive for your reselling business, those miles may be tax-deductible. Track every business trip to maximize your deductions.

What Counts as Business Mileage?

Definitely Business

  • Trips to source inventory (thrift stores, garage sales, retail arbitrage)
  • Post office and shipping store runs
  • Buying shipping supplies
  • Meeting with suppliers or customers
  • Bank deposits related to business

Not Business

  • Personal errands on the way
  • Regular commute to a day job
  • Non-business portions of trips

Adding a Mileage Entry

  1. Go to Mileage in the sidebar
  2. Click Add Mileage
  3. Enter trip details:
    • Date
    • Starting location
    • Destination
    • Miles driven
    • Purpose
  4. Save
