If you drive for your reselling business, those miles may be tax-deductible. Track every business trip to maximize your deductions.
What Counts as Business Mileage?
Definitely Business
- Trips to source inventory (thrift stores, garage sales, retail arbitrage)
- Post office and shipping store runs
- Buying shipping supplies
- Meeting with suppliers or customers
- Bank deposits related to business
Not Business
- Personal errands on the way
- Regular commute to a day job
- Non-business portions of trips
Adding a Mileage Entry
- Go to Mileage in the sidebar
- Click Add Mileage
- Enter trip details:
- Date
- Starting location
- Destination
- Miles driven
- Purpose
- Save
