If you work with others on your reselling business, Resello lets you collaborate as a team.
Overview
Team features allow you to:
- Invite team members
- Assign roles with different permissions
- Collaborate on inventory and orders
- Share a single workspace
Team Roles
Resello has four roles with different permission levels:
Owner
Full control of the workspace:
- All features and settings
- Manage billing and subscription
- Transfer ownership
- Remove any member
Admin
Manage the team:
- All standard features
- Invite and remove members
- Change member roles
- Access all settings
Member
Standard access:
- Add and edit inventory
- Create orders and listings
- Track expenses and mileage
- View reports
Accountant
Financial focus:
- View financial data
- Access reports
- Limited editing capabilities
- Designed for bookkeepers
Inviting Team Members
- Go to Settings > Members
- Click Invite Member
- Enter their email address
- Select a role
- Send invitation
The invitee receives an email to join your team.
Accepting an Invitation
When you receive an invitation:
- Open the email
- Click the invitation link
- Create an account or sign in
- You're added to the team
Managing Members
Change Roles
- Find the member in Settings > Members
- Click to edit their role
- Select the new role
- Save
Only Owners and Admins can change roles.
Remove Members
- Find the member in Settings > Members
- Click remove
- Confirm removal
Removed members lose access immediately.
Best Practices
Assigning Roles
- Give the minimum permissions needed
- Use Accountant role for bookkeepers
- Reserve Admin for trusted team members
- Only one Owner typically
Team Communication
- Agree on workflows and processes
- Use consistent categorization
- Update statuses promptly
- Communicate about changes
Security
- Remove members who leave
- Review access periodically
- Use strong passwords
- Enable two-factor authentication
