Adding Items

Learn how to add new inventory items to Resello with all the details you need to track.

Adding inventory is one of the most common tasks in Resello. Here's how to do it effectively.

Quick Add

  1. Go to Inventory in the sidebar
  2. Click the Add Inventory button
  3. Fill in the required fields
  4. Click Save

Item Details

Basic Information

  • Title - A clear name or description (e.g., "Nike Air Max 90 Size 10")
  • SKU - Your unique identifier (optional but recommended)
  • Description - Additional details about the item

Product Details

  • Brand - The manufacturer or brand name
  • Category - Product category (configured in Settings)
  • Condition - Item condition (New, Like New, Good, etc.)

Pricing

  • Cost - What you paid for the item (include any fees)
  • Target Sell Price - Your desired selling price

Inventory

  • Quantity - Number of units
  • Location - Where the item is stored (e.g., "Shelf A", "Closet 2")

Status

  • Status - Current workflow status (Received, Listed, etc.)

Adding Photos

  1. Click the photo upload area
  2. Drag and drop images, or click to browse
  3. Photos are automatically saved

Tips for photos:

  • Use good lighting
  • Show multiple angles
  • Include any flaws or damage
  • Keep a consistent background

Using Master Items

If you've created Master Items for products you sell regularly:

  1. Select a Master Item when adding inventory
  2. Fields will be pre-populated
  3. Adjust quantity and condition as needed

This saves time when adding multiple units of the same product.

Bulk Adding

For adding many items at once:

  1. Use consistent naming conventions
  2. Prepare your data in advance
  3. Add items in batches by category

After Adding

Once an item is added:

  • Update the status as you process it
  • Add it to listings when ready to sell
  • Link it to orders when sold
