Master Items

Learn how to use Master Items to create templates for products you sell frequently.

Master Items are reusable templates for products you sell repeatedly. They save time and ensure consistency when adding inventory.

What Are Master Items?

A Master Item is a product template that stores:

  • Standard product information
  • Default pricing guidelines
  • Common attributes

When you acquire new units of that product, you can quickly create inventory items based on the Master Item template.

When to Use Master Items

Master Items are ideal for:

  • Products you source and sell regularly
  • Items with consistent specifications
  • Products with standard pricing

Examples:

  • Popular shoe models you flip frequently
  • Electronics you buy and resell
  • Books in a series you commonly find

Creating a Master Item

  1. Go to Master Items in the sidebar
  2. Click Add Master Item
  3. Fill in the template details:

  1. Click Save

Using Master Items

When adding inventory:

  1. Click Add Inventory
  2. Select a Master Item (if applicable)
  3. Fields are pre-populated from the template
  4. Adjust as needed:
    • Set the actual quantity
    • Update condition if different
    • Adjust price if needed
  5. Save the inventory item
